During early summer fragrant white flowers are borne in long racemes. These are followed by dark red inedible berries. Also useful in borders or as a specimen plant. It is a member of the rose family and the Royal Horticultural Society have given it their Award of Garden Merit. Recommended planting density: 3 5 plants per metre
